Gaz 67B
Hello, and welcome to the Russianmilitary Gaz 67B upgrade Blog.
Military vehicle restoration is something of a speciality of ours and this is the another project we have chosen to document via our website restoration blog. Its often very helpful for customers overseas to exactly view what is going on with their restoration on a daily basis. Nobody, else in this trade is able to offer this kind of service.
This section will take the form of a variety of a photos, informative short films (and of course our own ramblings) all designed to document the journey and processes that the Gaz 67B and our highly skilled restoration technicians have been through.
Restoring to exact original standards is alot more difficult than you think.
The accompanying photos give you a sense of the condition when it first arrived at our workshops, and the finished product. She was originally sitting in Museum and then was purchased by a private person who starting restoring and gave up a few years ago. My Demand was to quite simple, make it show winner...
We have a simple company moto when it comes to restoration... 'make it better than anybody else'.
We hope you enjoy it...

Russianmilitary took delivery of this GAZ-67 WWII Jeep 31/07/09. At the point of delivery the jeep was in a partially restored condition, as shown in the photos and the short film. An initial inspection revealed that a number of parts were missing, which we are now in the process of sourcing. All the body panels have been refabricated and are new. The body is to be removed and prepared for further painting. While the body is off, all running gear will be checked – Brakes, clutch, Suspension, steering. The sump is to be removed from the engine to allow inspection of the crankshaft and bearings. Fuel tank is in need of repair. Rear seat back to be fabricated (rear back rest). New seat covers have been commissioned - these are to be made in Czech Republic, along with the new hood. This is just a selection of the work to be carried out - all will be discussed in these forthcoming blog pages. Still plenty of work to do then; so onwards and upwards... Gaz-67 Restoration.wmv
